What is an ARC?

An ARC is an Advanced Reader Copy of a book that is normally produced for the purpose of gaining reviews prior to or at publication.

What is an ARC reader?

An ARC reader is someone who volunteers to read a free copy of a book in exchange for an honest review.

ARC readers are also an excellent final way for authors/publishers to learn of GREMLINS — aka pesky typographical or editing errors that have managed to sneak by all rounds of editing (there are almost always some!).

What is required to become an ARC reader?

You must be willing to read/review a book within one to two weeks of receiving the ARC copy.

Reviews are requested on Amazon (most important), Goodreads, and Bookbub. If you cannot complete a review on one or more of these sites, please indicate this in the comments when you apply.

Once you review the book, we ask that you send links to each review back to Claire.

Failure to provide reviews after receiving an ARC will prevent you from accessing ARC copies in the future.

Note ARC copies are NOT FOR SALE and sharing of them is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

What is the ARC Team?

If you have reviewed at least one Claire Wilder book, you may be considered to join her ARC TEAM. The ARC Team receives all ARCs without the need to continually apply.

Perks of being on the team include early access to ARCs, ARC reader only giveaways, and exclusive access to the ARC Team Facebook group.

If your schedule does not permit you to review a book, you can advise you can’t participate this time around. However, to remain on the team, it is expected that you read and review most books.

If you want to be considered for the team, please sign up to review a book first. You can indicate in the comments that you would like to be considered for the team. However, you will also be asked when you submit your review.

Important Points

Please rate the book and leave timely and honest reviews. Long reviews are not required.

If you are going to be late with your review, please let us know.

Filling out the form does not guarantee you an ARC, and reviewing a book does not guarantee you a spot on the team.
